Let's Rumble!
When wandering a field or dungeon, you will see your foes walking the land. Run into them to start a fight. You and your foe will take turns choosing attacks, spells and more to try and turn the tide of battle in your favor. Defeat your opponents, and you'll build up valuable battle experience. Keep fighting to raise your skill level and make short work of enemies as you progress!
Battle Tips
The stronger and more experienced you are, the more skills and strength you'll have at your disposal—so be sure to build up those battle chops fighting as many enemies as you can.
When you've gained enough experience, your level will go up, bringing with it a boost in strength, speed, and more. You will also have a chance to learn special new skills or magic spells, depending on your vocation.
When bringing your companions in to battle, you can choose to give them battle tactics to follow, like “Fight Wisely” for a safer route or “Show No Mercy” for an all out attack. If you feel like getting more hands on, you can have them “Follow Orders” and choose each and every action they take. It's all up to you!
