Quest With Your Friends with a Wireless Connection
Play Together
There's no reason that your adventure has to be a solo affair! Invite up to three friends to join you for multiplayer mode, made possible through DS Wireless Communications. As long as you're all in the same room, you can host a multiplayer game and quest together. It's a great way for veteran players to show their novice friends the ropes, or help them out with some valuable battle experience.
Tag and Trade
Tag Mode lets you canvass for guests—fellow questers nearby with their own Nintendo DS systems and copies of Dragon Quest® IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. Whether you're visiting a friend's game or inviting them to yours, guests reside at Quester's Rest. Take part in Tag Mode to show off your fabulous looking heroes, or better yet, trade completed treasure maps that you've stumbled upon. Your adventure continues long past the end of the story with Tag Mode!
Lend a Hand
While in multiplayer mode, friends can split up and explore the game world separately. If you come across a particularly sticky battle, you can "Call to Arms" and summon your wandering guest partners to aid in the fight.
